JOHN HITE

Almost 30 years’ experience in civil construction in the ACT and surrounding region. Extensive knowledge of delivering civil, geotechnical engineering works under a broad range of contractual arrangements.

Various roles within the industry including;

  • General Manager of Guideline ACT Civil Contractor, and Senior Project Manager for Black Mountain Construction Assurance Consultancy Senior Procurement Officer within the ACT Government,. 

  • Senior Geotechnical Officer at ACT Geotechnical Engineers & Geotechnical laboratory manager at Coffey’s.  

  • Civil construction roles as a foreman, civil site supervisor, project manager.

STEVE ENGSTROM

Almost 20 years’ experience in the construction of civil infrastructure in the ACT and NSW. He has worked as an operator and senior foreman on a diverse range of projects including water distribution infrastructure, residential subdivisions and arterial roads. 

Through his range of positions Steve has acquired experience in the application of QA, environmental and WHS systems, wide technical and practical knowledge as well as excellent organisational skills.

  • Specialises in construction of earthworks, concrete, asphalt pavement, road sealing, gravel pavement, civil structures including retaining walls, hard and soft landscape works, bridges, water and sewage infrastructure  including pumping stations, electrical and communications services.

  • Geotechnical Officer undertaking investigations,  and providing solutions to clients for their Geotechnical and construction requirements.

  • Extensive knowledge in Quality Assurance, environmental and WHS Systems. 

BROOKE HITE

Contract Administration, Project Management & Site Surveillance experience in the civil and geotechnical construction industry.

  • 4 years’ experience in Procurement, Project Management and Contract Management. 

  • Reports for field investigations,  footing certifications, Site Classifications, ground vibration monitoring, level 1 supervision & foundation assessments.

  • Safety Inspections (Environment, Quality & WHS).

  • Responsible for plant acceptance, plant risk assessments, project risk assessments, review of subcontractor SWMS.

  • Prepare programs and progress updates.

  • Receive drawings, prepare register, issue drawings and update sets.

  • Review of Safety Method Statements, Management Plans, and ITP’s.

  • Completion of Daily Site Surveillance Records including details of Weather and activities undertaken. 

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project reports.

  • Update progress claims.

  • Maintain RFI Register and track resolution, EOT register, variation register and HP register.
